BARKING BOBTAILS

My name is Julie & i have been a canine beautician for 6 years.

I have 3 dogs of my own 2 dobermanns, roxy & sully and a

small terrier x, sheba who is the boss of them all!! I also have 2 gorgeous little bunnies, winter who is a dwarf lop and simba a lionhead. I love all animals but am absolutely "barking mad" about dogs & rabbits! Which is how i came about the name for my grooming studio "BARKING BOBTAILS"!

I am married with 3 grown up sons and i would like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their help & support. As they made a fantastic grooming studio for me, are always lending a hand & off course have to put up with me & my obsession with my pets!

I began dog grooming over 6 years ago when i did a hands on course at another local dog grooming parlour. I loved every second of it & knew instantly that this was for me. As soon as i had successfully completed my course & was given my certificate i began dog grooming from home. Approx 12 months later i ventured into business with a friend, opening up our first shop in Hindley Green. It was everything we had ever wanted, we both loved working with animals. And before long we had a busy dog grooming parlour & a designer dog boutique with lots of regular customers returning month after month. It just snowballed and got busier & busier!

 Although i was enjoying all the hustle & bustle of the shop, i soon began missing the one to one attention i was once able to give the dogs when i worked from home. Thats when i began re-thinking about exactly what i did & didnt want to do.

So here i am back at my home-based dog grooming studio doing exactly what i enjoy the most. Working in a more quiet & relaxed atmosphere. Grooming only 1 customers dog/dogs at a time. My studio is only small but well equipped with everything i need and with having 3 dogs of my own (& not to forget the bunnies) i am now never far from them too!
