Do I Hand Strip?
I cut and style your pooch using scissors and professional electric dog clippers. I favour the Wahl Moser Max as they are very quiet and i find that this does help enormously with nervous dogs.
In most cases i am able to cut & style your dog as requested BUT if your dog is very matted i generally have no option but to clip your dogs coat short. De-matting a dog with extreme knotts is not only time consuming but also causes your dog a lot of pain and distress.
I DO NOT DO HAND STRIPPING
I prefer to clip dogs rather than hand strip. Clipping your dog saves a lot of time and is a much gentle way of cutting your dogs hair, the finished result looks exactly the same. The only subtle difference is that in clipping your dogs coat it may feel much softer and sometimes a slight change in the dogs hair colouring.
If your little pooch is a pet dog only than i would always recommend clipping rather than hand stripping.
Hand stripping is only required if you intend showing or do show your dog, because the dogs coat colouring and texture remains natural.
